The Vera B. Rison Tech Center was founded to "bridge the digital divide" in the northern Flint community by empowering youth with social, computer and academic skills and the necessary resources for long-term employment and economic security. The Technology Center will deliver innova 'tive, youth-focused technology education programs in high-growth pathways that includes web development, electronics and other educational disciplines. These programs aim youth toward career-readiness through both tech-skill and soft-skill development (such as innovation, grit, perseverance). In 2017 we will reach 150 + students in grades 1-12 from Flint, Michigan schools.
